Claire Lee is CEO of Venue Queen Limited, helping clients find venues and supporting independent venues to maximise revenue.

Jo Hailey is CEO of Striking Places Photography, renowned for her work with Westminster Abbey. As a Google Trusted Photographer, she’s a commercial photographer creates stunning 3D virtual tours that showcase location-based businesses.

How We Met & Our First Project

Claire and Jo met through networking in Hertfordshire in 2016. Shortly after, Jo planned a charity trek to Machu Picchu and hosted a charity ball to raise awareness, with Claire’s expertise making it a huge success. This collaboration sparked the start of future projects together.

The Birth of Borrow my Garden

Their collaborations highlighted a gap in the market for outdoor event spaces. In 2019, they founded Borrow my Garden, now attracting over 17,000 unique visitors per month. The platform connects hosts with gardens, fields, and unique outdoor venues across the UK — perfect for weddings, corporate events, and festival-style functions.
